D-TLCD TRANSPARENT DISPLAY

The D-TLCD allows high brightness Full Color text and images to be superimposed on an optical viewfinder display -- just like a minature "Heads-Up" Display. Typical viewfinder applications are for DSLR cameras, telescopes, microscopes, night vision scopes etc. For example, D-TLCD can replace the prisms, lenses and LEDs used to provide auto focus, battery, memory, speed, rapid shutter and all other necessary information in SLR cameras.

By forming an external image plane the DigiDisplay™ provides sharp images that are not defocused by dispersion. The location of the external image plane can be matched to the position of intermediate image planes of a host device -- for example at the diffusion plane of the DSLR Camera

Because D-TLCD can be manufactured using high volume LCD techniques, it is an ideal low cost solution for consumer DSLR products, in addition to industrial, military and medical optical viewfinder applications.

Transparent Viewfinder display

The D-TLDC is a full color edge lit display for DSLR Viewfinders. Extreme low power and cost, the edge lit, focus and bracketing display for next generation cameras is able to also record a curved image plane by integrating Holographic optical power. So the module is not only a transparent display, but also part of the viewfinder optical train, reducing size, improving display unifomity and efficiency.

D-TLCD, allows flexible optical integration. Ideally side illumination is provided to keep the form factor as compact as possible. Additional applications for the technology include in car ‘‘Heads Up’’ displays and consumer products including clocks, cell-phones and fashion watches
